My logo became the third best according to the jury’s decision in the open logo design competition of the Katona József Theatre. There were almost 2,000 logos submitted by 380 contestants.
The Katona József Theatre has a unique voice in the Budapest theatre scene. Their work is honest and addresses problems of our contemporary society. I think my logo’s sharp, simplified shape of the red curtain (Katona, main stage) and its upside down version (Kamra, studio stage located in the basement and lacking the conventional stage) would have given the Theatre’s stationary the right visual impact.
